Delta Positive T-Shirt Company

As part of my Senior Capstone class, everyone was assigned to create a T-shirt brand and design a company around it with goals, budget, designs, and marketing all-in-one. This project was interesting to me as it required a lot of brainstorming about many different aspects, but it taught me much about the intricacies of starting a company. The company is a start-up that is targeted toward automotive enthusiasts with the goal of donating a portion of proceeds to 43institute - a non-profit started by the late Ken Block. 

Cold War and Ice Hockey

My final paper to achieve my American Studies Minor was a research paper based on American conflict in any subject. Being that I have played ice hockey for 5 years and the game surrounds conflict frequently, I chose to write about international hockey tournaments that took place during the Cold War era and beyond. This paper focuses on how international conflict translated into violent play on the ice, rising tensions off it, and highlights how the tournaments inadvertently served as proxy-wars for the involved nations.
